Prescription Fulfillment & Pharmacy Verification
Effective Date: February 5, 2026
Overview
VantaRx is committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality in the delivery of healthcare services. This policy outlines our rigorous process for verifying pharmacy partners and our protocols for prescription fulfillment.
Pharmacy Verification Process
Before any pharmacy is permitted to join the VantaRx network, they must undergo a comprehensive credentialing and verification process. This ensures that every partner meets our strict standards for safety and regulatory compliance.
1. Licensure Verification
We verify that each pharmacy holds a valid, active license in good standing with their respective State Board of Pharmacy. We also confirm that the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) maintains an active and unencumbered license.
2. Accreditation Checks
We prioritize pharmacies that hold accreditations from recognized bodies such as PCAB (Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board), URAC, or NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy).
3. Regulatory Compliance History
Our team conducts a thorough review of the pharmacy's regulatory history, checking for any past disciplinary actions, FDA warning letters, or state board sanctions.
4. Facility Inspection & Quality Assurance
We review the pharmacy's quality assurance protocols, including sterility testing (for sterile compounding), potency testing, and adherence to USP <795> and <797> standards where applicable.
Prescription Fulfillment Policy
VantaRx facilitates the secure transmission of prescriptions from licensed healthcare providers to verified pharmacies. We do not practice medicine or pharmacy but provide the technology infrastructure to support these professional services.
- Valid Prescription Required: No medication is dispensed without a valid prescription from a licensed healthcare provider who has established a provider-patient relationship.
- Pharmacist Review: Every prescription is reviewed by a licensed pharmacist at the fulfilling pharmacy for clinical appropriateness, drug interactions, and dosage accuracy before dispensing.
- Patient Counseling: Partner pharmacies are required to offer patient counseling as mandated by state law and to provide accessible contact information for any clinical questions.
Proof of Pharmacist Credentials
VantaRx maintains a digital record of credentials for the Pharmacist-in-Charge at each network pharmacy. These records are updated regularly to ensure ongoing compliance.
Patients and providers can request verification of the dispensing pharmacy's credentials by contacting our support team or by checking the label on their received medication, which includes the pharmacy's name, address, and phone number.
